This is going to be my last post on politics of any kind: Most Modi supporters are under the impression that despite even the growing perception of certain alleged failures by the present government, it will easily win the 2019 elections because of the 'no other alternative' factor. I am not that sure. It is almost deja vu 2004 with additional disadvantages for Modi. The establishment media which is essentially faithful servants of the SS-NG dynasty (Socialist Secularist - Nehru-Gandhi), the crony-journalist school has been doing a whirlwind propaganda against Modi 24/7. It is interesting that with less than 16 murders spread over three years in a nation of one billion, that too with selective media twists, the crony-media establishment has been able to generate the feeling of 'lynchstan'.
Media, anti-Hindu forces, Raghu Ram Rajan to Arun Shourie, pro-Congress elements crucially placed within Modi government itself to sabotage him strategically, opportunists like Subramanian Swamy who play to the gallery of loony fringe subtly whipping up a sly anti-Modi campaign ... Vajpayee never had to face so many number of enemies sly and open.
Despite the propaganda that Modi has a well-oiled social media army, in reality the anti-Modi forces have been functioning with corporate rigor in the social media spreading all sorts of allegations against Modi despite they being unable to produce anything substantial. So they shamelessly indulge in a very systematic spit-and-run campaign. While they do it in an organized manner, the Modi-supporters in the social media who came spontaneously in 2014 are in a disarray. Meme-generation, small videos against Modi are created with various levels of professionalism to cater to every section of the society by Modi haters. Modi supporters are not in the least organized. While individual trolls are highlighted by the corporate media as lumpen elements under the command of BJP, actually the Modi supporters in the social media are as I said completely disorganized and in a disarray.
The best thing for the government to do is to bring petrol under GST and create a drastic reduction of prices and bring out its own white paper on the black money issue. It is now visible that the raids have increased on black money holders at all level. This government has visibly reduced corruption levels, which in itself is a great achievement. This government had tried to its max to improve relations with neighbors. And it bore fruit in Doklam issue. Even as CPI(M) as usual played its treacherous pro-Chinese role Modi won a diplomatic victory for India, for which alone this government should be re-elected.
While the dynasty cult Mecca of socialist-secularism (India's own SS) JNU did the dirty job for China by nurturing Nepali Maoists - swaying the mountain nation ideologically towards China, Modi has been working to clear the mess in the backyard, not entirely without errors (but they can be forgiven given the kind of mess into which that socialist romanticist treacherously got us in and given his despotic dynasty has been since then sucking India's blood for decades with a corrupt pot-bellied demagogues of bureaucracy).
Airlifts of stranded Indians to even rescuing the kidnapped Christian missionaries of Indian origin from Islamist forces, this government had shown no partiality and has acted proactively. But I find not a single Christian of Indian origin thanking Modi for that. Modi was never thanked for liberating five Indian fishermen of Tamil Nadu from death sentence in Sri Lanka, for stopping the regular feature of shooting down of Tamil Nadu fishermen reducing it to almost one or two incidents in the whole three years. Yet I saw only traitors and shameless opportunists from Tamil Nadu blame him.
If by any chance Modi is defeated in 2019 Hindus can be sure that within decades their plight will be worse than the Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists of Pakistan and Bangladesh - those orphans from whose life light went out to provide the halo of Mahatma and whose blood reddened bright the roses worn by the Light of Asia.
